Economic Impact:

The investment base will exceed $2.5 billion. The construction period will require a peak of 1000 - 1500 craftsmen. The permanent plant operations will include approximately 150 employees with an annual salary average of $70,000. Many permanent related jobs, local contracting opportunities, support businesses, and economic benefits will be created for Matagorda County and the South Texas region. The project, once operational, is expected to contribute at least $10 - 20 Million per year in direct taxes and other economic benefits to Matagorda County, its schools, government, hospital and residents. The indirect economic benefits are expected to be very significant as well.

Educating the work force is a priority for success. The development team and its construction contractors have very successfully pioneered significant educational partnerships with local community colleges and high schools to support employment at previous projects. The White Stallion Energy Center Project and its construction contractors intend to participate with the Mid-Coast Industry-Education Alliance so that the local workforce can assume leadership and professional roles in the construction and permanent operations of the Project.
